Meeting clients in person means that at times a therapist might get a little something from them. I was surprised with a lovely, cat-themed card congratulating me on getting my psychotherapy qualification by one of my clients. Attached to it were two mineral stones – lepidolite and green quartz – in my two favourite colours! 

This has reminded me that not only our clients pay attention to us, therapists, but also they have the relational need to express their love/ gratitude/ appreciation/ support. I was happy to accept it.
